Our facility in Ensenada (Baja, Mexico) is our primary production facility that employs over 1,000 people within the local community. The majority of our people there grew up in the local area and take pride in giving back to the local community.

Below are some of the employee-led initiatives that provide local services and support in the surrounding area.

In April 2020, the team worked with the Casa del Anciano and Por Amor a las Calles Shelters, to deliver food, personal hygiene and cleaning items to those in the community most in need.

The team donated clothes to the San Vicente and Por Amor a las Calles homeless shelters.

In June 2020, the Ensenada Team collaborated with the Mexican Government to deliver 100 essential items care packs to the most vulnerable families of Ensenada during the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative was developed and implemented in partnership with the Mexican Secretary of Economy and the Secretary of Labour. Ricardo Varela, Navico’s VP in Manufacturing, commented on the latest care package initiative, “The community and local people are the lifeblood of Ensenada. It’s an appropriate time to be able to help people during this pandemic, when we know people are really struggling. I’m proud of the work that we continue to do.”
