Navico Statement during COVID-19 outbreak (21 January 2021)

 

As a global business, Navico continues to monitor and adapt to the developments of COVID-19 across the world. Our priority is the health and well-being of our staff, their families and our customers. The global situation changes daily and we are stringently following the advice and guidance given by the World Health Organisation and the governments in the regions that Navico operates.

The Navico Global Emergency Management Team responds quickly and cohesively to the guidance provided. Regular updates are sent to our employees and customers.

We are also doing everything we can to ensure our people are safe. We have made provisions to adapt working practices, hours and requirements to each individual’s circumstance and local area requirements. All our employees have access to guidance for working with our customers, and keeping themselves and our customers safe. In addition, we have ensured our employees in the most affected areas have the technology in place to work remotely. At our manufacturing facility in Ensenada, Mexico, we have taken every step to protect our people, including wide-scale testing and rigorous safety measures.

Navico continues to be open for business and we like many in the marine industry are seeing unprecedented demand across the world. We are in constant contact with both our suppliers and logistics partners to ensure the continuous and uninterrupted production and distribution of our products, anywhere in the world. Since the start of the crisis, we have been actively taking measures such as pre-booking space on specially chartered cargo planes and ramping up material pipelines in alternative supplier factories. We continue to adapt and evolve in a rapidly changing situation.

From a business perspective, Navico is working diligently with our customers to support operations critical to global infrastructure and logistics, such as commercial shipping. We are also mindful of the challenges that our business partners, suppliers and customers are facing in these times. We understand the need to balance business continuity with appropriate precautions and mitigating actions. We aim to support and service our business and consumer communities in the most appropriate way whilst following the WHO and government guidelines.

From a consumer perspective, we continue to supply products to the market and have made sure that our service and support teams are fully available and we continue to provide full access to our online resources. Additionally, we will be providing enhanced educational and support material through our KnowledgeBase and ‘How-To’ videos.

Where eCommerce is available, our brands’ websites are accepting orders and our staff remain available for support and advice.

Combined, our brands have over 200 years of history and during this time we have faced many different challenges. While at present no one can be certain of exactly when the situation will improve, with global vaccination programmes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. All of the Navico team continue to work safely throughout the pandemic, and we look forward to once again enabling people all over the world to enjoy the full freedom of being out on the water.
